What is Impact L’Atid?
Transform your BIG IDEAS into ventures through Greater Washington’s Jewish Teen Social Innovation Initiative.
Are you a Gamechanger? Are you ready to impact the lives of others in the Greater Washington Jewish community? Break the norm, turn ideas into action, compete for scholarship funding, gain access to elite mentors, and change the game locally! Impact L’Atid is Greater Washington’s Jewish teen initiative for social innovation that puts teens in the driver seat through design thinking and entrepreneurship training.
Impact L’Atid is sponsored and run by BBYO and the Federation's United Jewish Endowment Fund.
If selected to join Impact L’Atid, participants will experience:
A five-month initiative with interactive seminars and workshops that equip you with the skills, tools, and networks to make a positive impact on our community
An introduction to design thinking and social entrepreneurship training
One-on-one mentorship and coaching from talented leaders across the local community
A cohort of Jewish teen social entrepreneurs for support, encouragement, and feedback
Training and support from BBYO and UpStart professionals
A consultation with a graphic designer to create a personalized venture logo (and a $100 stipend towards venture marketing materials)
Exposure and involvement in community-wide events that highlight your big ideas
The opportunity to win up to $5,000 towards Jewish immersive experiences
Applicants should:
Be in the 8th-12th grade
Live in the Greater Washington area (Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Montgomery County, MD)
Self identify as Jewish
Have a venture idea (business, non-profit, social action project) to enhance the Jewish community of Greater Washington
Have a venture that is in a formative stage
Apply individually or in a group of up to three teens
Have a desire to dream big and develop an idea that fills a void in the Washington Jewish community
Be open to feedback and change
